HOW TO PLAY

How to play Battlefield Blitz

  1. Pick a mode

Practice, Solo or Platoon on the start screen (it remembers your choice), or open the two-player lobby.

  2. Drive and shoot

WASD or the arrows drive, the mouse aims, click or Space fires. Auto-aim starts on: Q toggles it and T locks onto one target.

  3. Use the long gun

E or right-click fires the LONG gun: it locks on, then a guided round crosses the field, punches through cover and wrecks in one hit. You start with 3 long shots.

  4. Call airstrikes

Press F, then click where the bombs go. A bomber flies in over your shoulder.

  5. Grab tiles and win

Lit tiles give rapid fire, triple shot, shields, health, long shots and strikes; mines blow up whoever drives onto them. Most kills when the three minutes are up wins.

CONTROLS

Controls

  • Desktop

WASD or arrows drive, the mouse aims, click or Space fires. E or right-click fires a long shot, F calls an airstrike on the next click, Q is auto-aim, T aim lock and Esc pauses.

  • Phone

Drag on the left half to drive and tap the field to shoot there. AUTO and LOCK ride on FIRE; LONG and STRIKE sit in a row above it.

  • Move the keys

The grab bar on top moves the whole pad. It is remembered, and a double-click puts it back.

  • Pause

Esc or the white flag: KEEP FIGHTING or SURRENDER.

MODES

Battlefield Blitz modes

  • Practice

No clock. Three TARGET tanks that stand still and three MOVERs that drive about, none of which shoot back, while a coach walks you through every control. Ammo and strikes never run out.

  • Solo

Eight tanks, every tank for itself. Most kills in three minutes wins.

  • Platoon

You and three wingmen in your colour against two other platoons of four. No friendly fire; the platoon with the most kills wins.

  • Two players

Two people, one match, each on their own screen. Join with an invite code and a room, send the link to player 2, and bots fill the other seats.

TIPS

Tips

  • Watch the heat

The cannon fires fast but overheats if you hold it: watch the ring on FIRE.

  • Kill streaks pay

Kills in one life: 2 give a long shot, 3 an airstrike, 5 a carpet bomb and 8 a NUKE. A carpet bomb makes your next strike drop seven bombs.

  • Kills patch armour

    Every kill patches 1 armour.

  • Chase the crates

Supply crates parachute in every 20 seconds or so: a medkit, long ammo, an airstrike or the jackpot.

WHAT'S NEW

What's new in Battlefield Blitz 0.10.0 A real two-player lobby

Version 0.10.0 ·

  • Two-player lobby. The two-player page is one full-screen stage with a join card: invite code, room and JOIN, then SEND LINK while you wait for player 2.
  • Rematch. After the result, REMATCH keeps both players in the same room with a fresh seed, or pick NEW ROOM.
  • Rejoin. If the other player leaves, REJOIN or NEW ROOM. Before, the match just waited.
  • The scoreboard drags. Drag the bar at the top to move the scoreboard. It stays on the board, is remembered on this device, and a double-click puts it back.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do two players play Battlefield Blitz?

Open the two-player page on both devices and join the same room with the same invite code, or send the link from the lobby. After the countdown you play one match; bots fill the other seats.

Is Battlefield Blitz free to play?

Yes. It plays in your browser with no install, and it is open source (MIT).

Can I put Battlefield Blitz on my own site?

Yes. One script tag adds a PLAY BLITZ key to any page, and the page itself becomes the arena. Escape gives it back exactly as it was.

How is it related to DOM Battlefield?

It is the arcade version of DOM Battlefield, with the same Battlefield brand and Board UI keys. It runs on the Fizlet engine and draws Sherman Bytes' tank sprites.
