Cookies and storage
No cookies. A few saved settings.
DOM VIRUS sets no cookies. The games remember a few settings in your browser's local storage, and those never leave your device. This page lists every key, what it holds and how to clear it. Last updated 2026-10-29.
Cookies
Neither the site nor the games set cookies. The analytics we use when it is switched on, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless too.
So there is no cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
Where the saved settings live
Browsers keep local storage per site address. Today the DOM VIRUS hub, the DOM Battlefield site and the Fizlet site share one address, coded-dot-design.github.io.
That is why one theme choice follows you between them. Clearing that address's data clears all three.
When another site runs one of the games, the game saves its keys under that site's address instead.
Local storage: every key
Session storage: gone when the tab closes
How to clear them
Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove every key at once. Most browsers list it under privacy or site settings, by site address.
Clearing does no harm. The theme goes back to its default, sound comes back on and DOM Battlefield starts from a fresh setup.
Developers can also open the browser's developer tools, find Local Storage under Application or Storage, and delete single keys.
If we ever add cookies
Anything that sets cookies or tracks you across sites would come with a consent banner first. Nothing like that would run until you agree.
This page and the privacy policy would change before it ships, with a new date.
