DOM Battlefield 0.18
Go live. Plan sharper.
DOM Battlefield 0.18 is the go-live line: clearer planning cards, a sharper surrender moment and full screen that stays on. Battlefield also has its own site now. DOM Battlefield is the squad-tactics board game: command up to twelve Sherman tanks on a grid built from real page elements.
What's new for players
The game has a home of its own. The Battlefield site opens with a live battle in the hero, and the game plays one key away.
Planning reads better. Each plan card carries an order pill in the order's colour, with radio talk and an HQ badge.
Your own tank's card now shows its real order, such as ATTACKING HQ or a grid square. With no order, it reads YOU'RE DRIVING.
Phones get bigger round planning keys. Surrender, rematch and new operation keep full screen on.
Surrender has its moment: a team-colour white flag, a white-out, a wave, a burst and a losing sound. The desktop platoon row no longer wraps when room runs short.
For developers
Coming from the hub, the doors stay shut until the game has loaded, then open.
The compressed app budget is 68,000 bytes, enforced in CI. Battlefield draws its tanks with Sherman Bytes art and adds zero bytes to the Sherman Bytes bundle.
