Null Invaders 0.7
Louder, and ready for thumbs.
Null Invaders 0.7 adds sound and a proper phone cockpit: an analog joystick and a round Fire button you can hold while you fly. Null Invaders is the shooter where you fly an interceptor through a real webpage, turn letters into binary and break the button factories.
What's new for players
Firing, hits, weapon upgrades and new waves now have synthesized sound cues.
On phones, the arrow pad becomes an analog joystick with eight-way flight. Fire is the round crosshair button from DOM Battlefield, with a 3D press. Fly and hold Fire together.
The scoreboard shares its controls with the other games: sound, pause or resume, minimize and Recall.
Pulse, Twin, Trident and Overdrive still unlock as you earn combat XP. Destroyed factories still stop spawning for the rest of the wave.
For developers
The controls come from the shared DOM VIRUS runtime, snapshot 0.21.0. The gzip budget grew by 2 KB to pay for them and now sits at 24,000 bytes.
Setup, configuration and integration examples live in the repository README.
