The DOM VIRUS arcade is open
Six free games that play on the page.
DOM VIRUS is open: an arcade of six free browser games by Chris Cooley. Four play right on the page you are reading and turn its letters and buttons into the game board. Two Battlefield tank games run full screen on their own sites. No install, no account, and every game is open source (MIT).
Play on the page Four arcade games, one webpage.
PLAY SHERMAN BYTESSherman BytesDrive a pixel tank across the page: breach the button bases, build cover and hold the page against siege waves.PLAY SWARM PROTOCOLSwarm ProtocolBugs eat the letters into binary and drain your buttons. Squash them before the interface falls apart.PLAY BYTE RUNNERByte RunnerA pixel frog races food pipes in the page's whitespace, eats the real text and hunts the flies.PLAY NULL INVADERSNull InvadersFly an interceptor through the page, shoot letters into binary and break the button factories over four waves.

Recall gives the page back
Every game that plays on the page ends the same way. Press Escape or Recall, and the game removes what it added and restores what it changed and still owns. The page is the board, then it is the page again.
Five of the six games run on Fizlet, Chris Cooley's micro animation and game engine for the DOM. The engine story, its bricks and its measured budgets live on fizlet.com.
